In view of the increasing and urgent threat of climate change to the environment, human survival and national security, more than 130 countries around the world have put forward the declaration and action of "2050 net zero emissions". In response to this global trend, President President Tsai also declared on Earth Day on April 22, 110, that Taiwan's net-zero transition by 2050 is also Taiwan's goal. At the same time, the draft amendment to the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management Law" was also passed by the Legislative Yuan in the third reading on January 10, 112, and promulgated by the President on February 15 of the same year, and the name was amended to "Climate Change Response Law", and included the 2050 net-zero emission target, upgraded the level of climate governance, the collection of special funds for carbon fees, the addition of a special chapter on climate change adaptation, and the inclusion of carbon footprint and product labeling management mechanism, which not only shows China's determination to move towards the net-zero emission goal externally, but also builds a more resilient climate legal foundation internally.
